This international outlook has been the driving force behind all our work for this latest edition, in which participation from overseas galleries exceeds 66% of the total. This gives us a unique chance here in Madrid to see works from really exciting contemporary artists from around the world, including both young and acclaimed artists.

We’ve also managed to enhance the array of international guests, whereby the Spanish capital will this year be hosting some of the world’s top collectors, representatives from major museums, leading figures of international curation, heads of museums, cultural centres, artistic bienniales, etc. ARCOmadrid will also be holding forums and round tables, offering an ideal opportunity to meet and listen to them and gain greater insight into the world of contemporary art.

Alongside this international dimension, at ARCOmadrid we have also strived to increase the use of new technologies, making the Fair even more accessible. Our profiles on Facebook and Twitter are enjoying immense activity and ongoing dialogue with the public, in addition to the ARCOBloggers initiative for addressing the phenomenon of contemporary art blogs.

<img loading="lazy" class=" " src="http://blog.esmadrid.com/blog/es/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Iva-Gueorguieva.jpg" alt="Work by Iva Gueorguieva. We’ve also launched a pioneering initiative called Collect on line, an on-line art sales platform where ARCOmadrid galleries can sell pieces valued at up to 5,000 euros and which will be operating between the 7th and 24th of February.

And this is just a taste of what this prolific ARCOmadrid art fair has on offer for the general public. So I’d like to invite you to Madrid, to visit our city and get closer to the world of contemporary art with no anxieties but with an open mind, because I’m convinced you’ll have a simply wonderful time.

The 32nd edition of ARCOmadrid will soon be upon us, a yearly Contemporary Art Fair which attracts thousands of art professionals and experts to our city from all over the world.
