We know. You cannot escape the world of the\u00a0<em>hipster<\/em>, plastic-framed glasses and posing. In fashion, street markets, in all the shops, all the places to go, and just about everywhere. But, let&#8217;s face it, if you belong to the generation in its thirties, still go to festivals, used to go out in\u00a0<strong>Malasa\u00f1a<\/strong>\u00a0when you were a kid and have now added to your family, this central district cannot be ignored, especially if you want to share your\u00a0<em>indie<\/em> spirit with your kids. That is why we suggest a route for a stroll with your children in the neighbourhood during the day to look out for the\u00a0<strong>coolest<\/strong>\u00a0kids&#8217;\u00a0<em>fashion<\/em>\u00a0. We&#8217;re not talking about rompers, jumpsuits, knit cotton, crochet and the like.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The route starts, as it should, in Malasa\u00f1a&#8217;s epicentre: Plaza de Dos de Mayo square. A few metres from here, at number 17 San Andr\u00e9s street, you&#8217;ll find\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/alvaforkids.com\/\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/alvaforkids.com']);\"><strong>\u00e4lva for kids<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0a paradise of colours -and some black, why not?- and modern designs for children aged 0 to 10. Comfortable, fun clothes for day to day wear, with designs that more than a few adults would like to see on shelves in shops for them. But it doesn&#8217;t stop there; as well as ultra modern collections from the likes of Boys and Girls, Rockafella, Molo and Mini Rodini &#8211; here you should allow yourself to be helped by Eva, a real institution in\u00a0<em>trendy<\/em>\u00a0kids&#8217; fashion -, the shop has dummies, bibs, caps and baby carriers that won&#8217;t clash with your style nor with that of your children. There&#8217;s not much to be added to the subtitle of &#8216;ni\u00f1os con suerte&#8217;, meaning &#8216;lucky kids&#8217;, in the name of this shop, which is designed by and for kids. A paradise for kids with toys, a large blackboard on which to unleash their artistic talents and even a cardboard house to play in. The variety of clothing to be found in this store goes from\u00a0<em>animal prints <\/em>to\u00a0<em>bodysuits<\/em>\u00a0with beautiful illustrations by An\u00edbal Hern\u00e1ndez de La Camorra, t-shirts from Denmark&#8217;s Soft Gallery and Australia&#8217;s Munster Kids, delightful\u00a0<em>vintage<\/em>\u00a0toys from Marbushka, shiny dancing shoes, swimsuits from the Little Creative Factory and handmade headwear perfect for the summer. If you still need excuses to visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tiendagluck.com\/\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/www.tiendagluck.com']);\">Gl\u00fcck<\/a>, you&#8217;ll find them in its program of family entertainment. Storytelling and great concerts in\u00a0<em>petit comit\u00e9<\/em>\u00a0by groups like The Imperial Surfers, Gabriel y Vencer\u00e1s and Sexys. Hawaiian shirts, Ramones t-shirts and\u00a0<em>bodysuits<\/em>\u00a0with\u00a0<em>tattoo-style<\/em>\u00a0prints, and even booties with skulls. For a more\u00a0<em>vintage<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>naive<\/em>\u00a0look you have\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.esmadrid.com\/es\/cargarAplicacionCompra.do?identificador=1405\" ><strong>Copperpot<\/strong><\/a>, a small shop in Calle de San Andr\u00e9s street, right next to Plaza de Juan Pujol square. This place is a delicate universe that you could transfer exactly as it is to your children&#8217;s bedroom. Clothing, retro toys and fabrics, decorative objects, bilingual books and picture books so kids start to get familiar with English, all lovingly and personally chosen by Bego\u00f1a and Vanessa, <a title=\"Copperpot\" href=\"http:\/\/www.copperpot.es\/\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/www.copperpot.es']);\" target=\"_blank\">Copperpot&#8217;s<\/a> owners.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1574\" style=\"width: 633px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.esmadrid.com\/blog\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/copperpot1.jpg\" ><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1574\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1574\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.esmadrid.com\/blog\/es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/copperpot1.jpg\" alt=\"Copperpot (Esp\u00edritu Santo, 28)\" width=\"623\" height=\"356\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1574\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Copperpot (Esp\u00edritu Santo, 28)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The last place is a little further away &#8211; with a stop on the way to refuel at the <a title=\"Happy Day Bakery\" href=\"http:\/\/www.esmadrid.com\/es\/cargarAplicacionCompra.do?identificador=1359\"  target=\"_blank\">Happy Day Bakery<\/a>:\u00a0<em>cupcakes<\/em>\u00a0and shakes with the kids &#8211; at 28 Calle de San Mateo street.\u00a0<a title=\"Lobo Feliz\" href=\"http:\/\/www.esmadrid.com\/es\/cargarAplicacionCompra.do?identificador=1545\"  target=\"_blank\"><strong>Lobo feliz<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is every child&#8217;s dream. That playroom full of modern toys with a retro aesthetic, where it&#8217;s hard to know where to begin playing. You&#8217;ll want to take everything away with you. And you know what the kids will think of it. Educational toys to stimulate their imagination and creativity. We love the old-style wooden cars, the little shadow theatres, the building games and music games, but it&#8217;s very hard to choose because the variety and novelty of the toys in\u00a0<a title=\"Lobo Feliz\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lobofeliz.com\/\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http:\/\/www.lobofeliz.com']);\" target=\"_blank\">Lobo Feliz<\/a>\u00a0(Happy Wolf) is immense.
