some disillusioned characters, survivors of several wars, live like losers <strong>pirates<\/strong> on the shores of the Black Sea; a cold-blooded <strong>murderer<\/strong>, one of those most responsible for genocide during World War II, shows his other tender and humane side when dealing with his family; a colourful group of people from very different backgrounds, seek refuge in a small village in the French Pyrenees, hoping to escape the end of the world; a man robs a bank to get the <strong>money<\/strong> his partner needs for a sex-change operation, the son of one of the founders of Hamas, a prisoner in an Israeli jail, agrees to spy for the Israeli secret services&#8230; It also provides a way of seeing an accurate depiction of the turbulent times we&#8217;re living in, from different points of view. Current topics, such as the situation in Tahrir Square in El Cairo, the struggle against Bashar al-Assad in the city of Homs or the birth of the Femen movement in Ukraine, intermingle with more intimate subjects such as <strong>poverty<\/strong>, the <strong>financial system<\/strong> seen from the inside or <strong>religious tolerance<\/strong> in Iran.\u00a0All that without forgetting\u00a0<strong>the documentaries produced here in our country<\/strong>.
